Special Thanks Window Card

Special Thanks Window Card

Welcome again! I can't keep away from glitter elements, this time using the beautiful purple glitter card. These stamps and dies are from the new collection You Go Girl designed by Lucy Campeanu.

The day before I had to make a resin frame and allow it to set before I could make this card.  I started by preparing all the required elements ( I never know how many I really need so I just make a few extra).  I stamped and die-cut the leaves,  flowers, dragonfly and corner flower pieces.
With the oval dies, I used the larger one to cut the purple glitter card first then positioned it over the front of the card base.  I then aligned the smaller die inside this to cut the card front.

I made 3 'fuschia' flowers.  I used the ball tool to shape the petals.  I glued the bottom petals face downward and the top petals and sepal upwards.  I pieced a hole through the centres and glued the stamens in there.
I embossed a sentiment onto white card then sized it down to fit inside the resin frame and cut a 'v' at one end.

I created a floral arrangement with the stamps by masking and layering - remember the image that you want in the front has to be the first image stamped then masked.  I stamped the flowers with the black outline ink onto the photographic white card and coloured them with the alcohol ink markers.  I love how the colourless blender changes the colours slightly and gives you a bigger range of colours.  Once it was coloured, I fussy cut it out and put foam squares on one side underneath.

It was time to assemble all of this.  Between the card front and purple glitter card I placed a corner flower die on alternative sides of the oval area then glued them in place.  Everything else was glued into position as per the photos.  Inside the card I created a spot for a 'Gift Card' to go as a special option.

Princess Card

 Princess Card

Welcome again! I wanted to use some glitter elements in this card as this stamp is of a pretty girl and what girl doesn't like a bit of glitter.  The beautiful glitter inks and glitter card were perfect.  These stamps and dies are from the new collection You Go Girl designed by Lucy Campeanu.

I splashed some of the pink tone alcohol inks and the blending solution onto a piece of white card, then once dry I die-cut the flowers from it and shaped the flowers a little.  The 'Princess' sentiment was cut from the pink glitter card as well as some foam.  The floral die and a leaf die was cut from white cardbase.  I stamped the sitting girl with the Stayz matte black ink onto the photographic white card and coloured them with the alcohol markers.   These markers are so juicy and they have a smooth flow of colour that blends effortlessly - for a beginner in colouring every little bit helps.

I trimmed the pink glitter card to the size just a bit smaller than the cardbase, glued cardboard to it and then adhered it to the cardbase.  I trimmed a piece of photographic paper to a size just smaller than the pink glitter card.  On this piece I swooshed the green alcohol inks and the blending solution then allowed it to dry before glueing it onto the pink glitter card.  The 'Princess' dies of the foam and the glitter card were glued together.  With some of the flowers I glued a few stamens to the centres, others I added a resin bubble. Once all the pieces were prepared, it was just a matter of mounting and gluing/layering them into place.  Glitter glue and resin bubbles where added randomly to finish the project.

Celebrate Layout

Celebrate Layout

Welcome!  I’ve gathered together some of the awesome dies, stamps and ephemera pieces in Lucy Campeanu's You Go Girl collection to create this pretty coloured layout.  This particular stamp is called 'Sitting Pretty' and I just had the perfect photo of my darling little grand-daughter Olivia, for this layout.

I fussy-cut the flowers from the ephemera pack and die-cut a few of the floral die.  The banner dies and the sentiment were stamped with the stayz burgundy ink.   I stamped the sitting girl with the Stayz matte black ink onto the photographic white card and coloured them with the alcohol markers.   These markers are so juicy and they have a smooth flow of colour that blends effortlessly - for a beginner in colouring every little bit helps.

Once the elements were prepared I cut down the white cardstock and added a top and bottom border trim of varying sizes of the coloured cardstock just to create a bit more interest.  Along the bottom right I used a script stamp and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I cut a 4" x 6" white cardbase  and then another slightly bigger in a contrasting colour.  These were mounted onto cardboard before glueing them onto the layout.   Once the photo mount was in place I randomly splashed the alcohol inks around it on the white cardstock.

The sitting girl was backed with cardboard and placed into position first then all the rest were layered and glued/foam taped where ever it looked the right place to be. Once all the pieces were prepared, it was just a matter of mounting and gluing them in place.  Glitter glue and resin bubbles where added randomly to finish the project.

Seaside Girl - Endless As the Ocean Card

 Seaside Girl

"Endless As the Ocean" card

Welcome to my next project for Couture Creations using the

'Seaside Girl' Collection.

This time I thought I would make a card with some of the elements from this new collection plus adding some alcohol inks.  So here goes....

I cut the A4 Synthetic paper into quarters and used one of the quarters.  I applied some Alcohol Ink Blending Solution all over the page then randomly dropped the mix of Alcohol inks onto the page.  Each time I used a colour I used the blower to spread the inks around.  The Pearl sheen was stunning and all of the colours were so vivid.  Once I felt happy with the mix I allowed it to dry.

I stamped and embossed the large shell stamp onto one corner, then die-cut it out.

I cut the page on a diagonal and die-cut the other 2 elements.

I glued the inked section to the bottom of the cardbase and added a thin strip of glitter card to it's edge.  I cut out a sentiment panel and inked the edges.

The Liquid Scrap Spots were excellent for gluing the thinner elements - they were clear and gave them height.  I used the a mix of the other glues for the elements.

I cut the coral die-cut apart and spread it around the shells.  On the sides of the card I just added a couple of sequences with a drop of glitter glue in their centres.

The finished project.
